Artificial Christmas Wreaths Are As Stunning As A Fresh Xmas Door Wreath

I like artificial Christmas wreaths. There I said it. Funny, the first time I tried to voice that opinion, my mother was aghast.

Where we live, during the Chirstmas season, you can buy live Christmas trees and wreaths almost anywhere. The Boy Scouts have tree sales in parking lots and private retailers open their farms for selling live greens. The smells of fresh greens are everywhere and are a cheery part of the Christmas season.

However, in my household, convenience wins out over the fresh smells. I learned many years ago that having live Christmas trees and wreaths make a huge mess and aren't as wonderful as everyone seems to think they are.

I decided quite a while ago, that when the time was right, I would buy one of those artificial Xmas door wreaths. And since I made that decision, I have purchased an artificial Christmas tree and an artificial Chirstmas wreath. In all honesty, I am very happy with having both of them.

While fresh Christmas wreaths are very nice, beautiful in fact, the artificial Chrsitmas wreath has allowed me to be much more creative with decorating. I used to only be able to put a few decorations on any live wreath that I got because of its flimsy and delicate greens. But with my artificial Christmas werath, I can wrap lights around it as well as bows and anything else I happen to desire. I can change the décor of it each and every year and never have to worry about needles falling off or it turning brown. And in my eyes, that is worth a lot.

At the beginning of the New Year, I simply pack the wreath and the other decorations away and know that they will stay safe for the entire year of storage. I save money and time each year as well. Not that live greens are outrageously expensive, but having an artificial Xmas wreath does save me quite a bit and in this economy, who wouldn’t want to saves some money where you can. And if I want to, I can spend the money I saved on more presents.

When I first decided I was going to get an artificial Christmas wreath, my family was shocked. They were convinced that they would be missing out on the smells of the fresh greens. But I had gotten really tired of picking needles off of the floors and out of the carpets. And one of the really cool things is that I have been able to hang the fake Christmas wreath above our fireplace where we hadn't dared to hang any live greens.

I was always worried that the dried wreath would catch on fire when we had the fireplace lit, but with an artificial X-mas wreath, there is no worrying. Our living room can now look just as festive as any other room in our house. And you know what; the wreath looks quite stunning hanging above the fireplace with the mantel decorated with lights and decorations.
